Create a Life Safety Plan by Lines and Symbols
Duplicate 1st Floor PlanRename: 1st Floor Life Safety Plan
Activate First Floor Life Safety Plan
Change Scale to 1:200
Hide all elements except the actual building elements
Turn on Crop Region, adjust it to tight up against the building
Turn off the Crop Region
Input VG or V V to open the Visibility/Graphic Override dialog box
Model Categories tab
Toggle on Casework, Furniture, Furniture Systems
Select Half Tone for each items
Create New Line Pattern
Manage tab > Settings panel > Additional Steeings - Line PatternsCreate a new Line pattern: Center 6mm
Dash: 6mm
Space: 2mm
Dash: 2mm
Space: 2mm
Create another Line Pattern: Dash 3mm
Dash: 3mm
Space: 3mm
Create New Line Style
Manage tab > Settings panel > Additional Settings - Line StylesModify Subcategories - New
Name: Life Safety Diagonal
Create another Line Style
Name: Life Safety Travel Distance
Life Safety Diagonal: 8, Red, Center 6mm
Life Safety Travel Distance: 6, Red, Dash 3mm
Annotate tab > Detail panel > Detail Line
Line Styel panel > Line Style - Life Safety Diagonal
Options bar: Clear Chain
Draw the disgonal lines from Entrance to Entrance, Corner to corner
Options bar: Check Chain
Line Style panel > Line Style - Life Safety Travel Distance
Draw the safety exit lines
Zoom in to the front entrance
Annotate tab > Symbol panel > Symbol
Mode panel > Load Family
Class Library folder - M_Life-Safety-Line-Arrowhead.rfa
Insert arrowhead at the end of each travel lines and outside the door
Press spacebar to rotate the arrowhead
Create a Life Safety Plan - Text
Annotate tab > Text panel > TextProperties palette - Edit Type - Duplicate
Name: 3mm Arial Narrow
Text Font: Arial
Text Size: 3mm
Width Factor: 0.9
Click Apply
Duplicate another text
Name: 3mm Arial Narrow Italic
Italic: Ö
Click OK
Zoom in to the front entrance
Add text for the 2 entrances
If text is not visible
View Control bar - Show Crop Region
Properties palette - Check Annotation Crop Region
Type Selector - 3mm Arial Narrow Italic
Place the text first, then use the rotate and move control on the text, to position the text on the diagonal line
The text automaticallu masks the line
